On my purpose journey;                                                                                                                                              I have recently made an amazing discovery.

Have you experienced the shift in focus and confidence which creeps upon us as we navigate life?

The constant struggle to believe in ourselves, our goals dreams and ambitions. It’s not that we lack the desire to fulfil a purpose, but the will to drive forward and achieve success is a challenging one.

Believe me, I have been there, if you are blessed to be a woman this can be an additional struggle; when we consider, the imbalance which occurs as a result of our hormones, the battle rages on, we can be up one minute but down the next.

If you are in the age bracket 38 to 50, well my God we are on a continuous roller costa; menopause is on the horizon.

To maintain stability, we must place our confidence in something immovable; something or someone that never changes. The world around us experiencing rapid changes.

Now help me search,

Where can we find that sure place?

Certainly not in people, even with all our good intentions we fail at times.

Not in possessions because they can be temporary, here today and gone tomorrow.

Not in life pursuits and occupations because the moment we achieve our goal, the glory fades and we are compelled to go after another.

What I have discovered is that God, the one who created the universe never, changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. In fact, he said it in his word – “I change not”

I am developing a new level of consistency and stability in my life I never thought was possible. I no longer have the urge for beating myself up for my shortcomings.

I am learning to accept what God says about me.

He said some beautiful things like;

I am fearfully and wonderfully made,

He said I am the head and not the tail,

I am above and not beneath,

My sufficiency is in him,

He says he is my comforter and he knows me better than I know myself.

Here is what I have learnt to do!

Whenever I experience a lack of self-confidence, or I begin to doubt my ability to achieve and succeed;          I put my trust in him, the one who made me and knows me better than I know myself.

He says in Rom. 8:28 “all things work together for good” I chose to believe that, this helps me to stop worrying about tomorrow or the things I can not change.

When I am tempted to worry about my needs being met, I check to see what he says.

He said He will supply all my needs.

Now answer me; why will you worry if you chose to believe what he says; his words are true.

I have found new confidence; it’s better than self-confidence. It’s confidence in God.

I am filled with a greater sense of peace because I know I am not alone.

I may not be able to do all that I want to do certainly not in myself; but by God’s grace strength and mercy, I can be who he has called me to be.

I can discover and fulfil my purpose in life.

This has been a real joy sharing with you, do drop me a line and let me know how what I shared have impacted you or let me know if you would like to discuss it further.

Love & Blessings
